Children's Ministry
Children are a blessing. Many children are a blessing. Every child is a blessing to believing parents. Every child is a gift, a blessing of God. The 1st child is a blessing. The 10th child is a blessing. The deformed child is a blessing. The difficult child is a blessing.
Our Plan
Our plan is to purposely expose and teach children the truths Word of God so that they respond in faith to the call of Christ as Saviour. We shepherd children so that they are discipled to grow as followers of Christ. We provide a variety of creative activities that support our Purpose and Vision.
Our Purpose
To proclaim who God is and what He’s done- to the next generation. “We will not hide them from their children, we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power and the wonders He has done.” Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands. Psalms 78:6a, Psalms 78:7
Our Vision - 3 John 1:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. To accomplish these purposes the following “Vision Points” were developed. We will strive through persistent prayer and reliance on His power to:
1) Establish a firm knowledge of the entire Word of God
2) Communicate the Gospel in word and deed to children in our church and community
3) Enable kids to embrace Christ through consistent corporate and personal worship and service to God 4) Assist parents in the Christian nurture of their children
5) Promote inter-generational involvement with children in our church The children’s ministry exists to help children know God and grow to become like His Son, Jesus Christ.
To accomplish the above tasks, we seek…
1. To fill children’s minds with the Word of God so they will grow to think the way of God and live the way God has commanded. They will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to stand firm in a dying world. Hebrews 13:21, 2 Peter 3:18
2. To establish in children habits of Godly living and a daily lifestyle by applying the Word to their daily lives. Proverbs 2:1-5
3. To create a Christian Community of children and adults who enjoy life together as a family and who are committed to Jesus Christ and to each other.
4. To help children build proper relationships to the authorities in their lives.
5. To help children trust Christ as Savior, to submit to Him and to live as Christian’s at home, at school, at play or wherever they are.
6. To build Christian homes by encouraging families and training them in their tasks.
7. To instruct, encourage and help guide them into freely worshiping and praising our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Chronicles 16:9
8. To teach that prayer and communion with the Father is the first thing to turn to in all situations. Matthew 6:33
9. To make each child’s experience at church safe, fun and profitable in the process of growing to become everything God has planned.
10. To help turn their hearts toward the ONLY person that can supply all their needs. Philippians 4:19
